Scooby's Gang
Author's note: This is a
short story about the Scooby Gang based in Season 4 if
they were obsessed with the books about Harry Potter
and how this effects their life.
Giles
looked up from his well-thumbed book and sighed. The
Scooby Gang looked up at him expectantly, wondering
just what sort of demon was terrorising Sunny dale for
the umpteenth time that week.
"I'm
afraid it's not good. It seems that the demon we've
been tracking is a Hippogriff, a very insulted
Hippogriff if it's going around attacking people.
"Buffy
popped her gum." I thought Hippogriff's are
friendly, I mean Buckbeak was, he even let Harry ride
him. But that Draco Malfoy, I could just stake him, he
makes me so mad."
Willow
looked up from her computer, where she had been
researching Harry Potter on the Internet along with
Tara and Anya.
"Well
I've had a look at www.harrypotterguide.co.uk and it
does seem that the only way to get a Hippogriff fired
up like that is to insult it. I'll keep looking
though, Tara will you help me?"
"And
I suppose I'll just do nothing, shall I? Xander,
Xander, I know lets all let him do nothing,
again."
Giles
paused after Xander's usual outburst before asking him
to look in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban" for more information on the Hippogriff
along with Anya.
"Buffy
and Riley, you go on patrol. Make sure that no one
else is hurt but don't touch the Hippogriff until we
know what's wrong with it. I'll look in "Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire."
The
door of Giles' house opened and closed with such
quickness by Buffy and Riley three hours later. They
both looked out of breath and to Giles appeared that
they had been chased.
"Sit
down, sit down, you look like you need a good strong
cup of Earl Grey."
"We've
seen what's making the Hippogriff so mad", Buffy
panted, "They're small, blue and pointy
looking."
Xander
looked up, about to fall off his seat before
exclaiming, "They're Cornish Pixies, I've just
read about them in "Harry Potter and the Chamber
of Secrets." I'm right aren't I? Oh great, I'm
actually right!"
Willow
started to giggle at Xander, "You were supposed
to be reading Prisoner of Azkaban Xander! You were
right by accident otherwise you just messed up!"
"Willow,
really! Don't mock Xander, he may be onto something
here. Have a look on the harrypotterguide.co.uk and
see what it says about Cornish Pixies." Willow
tapped away at the computer. Anya peered impatiently
over her shoulder before asking, "Well?"
"Xander's
right, Cornish Pixies. Well anyway, they can be
magiced away by using a spell, "Peskipiksi
Pesternomi" but we need to go to the magic shop
to get supplies."
"Right,
good Xander and Willow. We'll all go to the magic
shop, safety in numbers and wait for them."
Just
before midnight Xander magiced the last pixie away.
"Where would you all be now if I hadn't messed up
and read the wrong book?" Xander asked smugly
before realizing what he was actually saying about
himself. Just then the Hippogriff appeared in front of
them, bowed silently and flew off into the moonlight
leaving the Scooby Gang in silence.
"Wait
a minute, what date is it?" Buffy asked breaking
the silence.
"I
believe it's the 7th Buffy why?"
"It's
just that in 10 minutes time, Harry Potter 5 will be
available to buy from the book shop. I can't believe I
forgot it was due to be released!"
Riley
looked at his watch; "We'll just make it."
"Bloody
typical, you're off to buy Harry Potter without me.
Just because I've got this damn chip in my head,
doesn't mean I can't have no fun." Spike spat at
the Scooby Gang moving out of the shadows towards
them.
"Spike,
wanna come?"
"Do
I ever! Let's go!"
And off
the Scooby Gang went towards the book shop singing :
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Hoggy Hogwarts, Teach
us something please..."
